Marshfield Area United Way and Volunteer Center want to thank community volunteers for their priceless service. 

Register on the Volunteer Center's Web site from April 19 to 23 and you will be entered to win a LIVE UNITED prize (T-shirt, teddy bear or bistro mug). 

Tuesday, April 20, wear your LIVE UNITED T-Shirt to any Marshfield Baltus location and receive a free coffee or fountain soda.

Saturday, April 24,  anyone who wears a LIVE UNITED T-Shirt to Saturday's Dare to Dream Raffle Open House from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wisconsin Homes will be entered to win a LIVE UNITED prize.

Volunteers Needed:
Stamp Out Hunger
Saturday, May 8, is the annual Post Office Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

Volunteers are neededfrom 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Marshfield Post Office to help sort food that is brought in by the letter carriers.

Shifts range from 30 minutes to an hour or more.

Three years ago, we took away my mother's car keys and vehicle.  It wasn't an easy decision, especially since she's living alone.

She needed a little extra help, so we signed her up for Home Delivered Meals, a United Way funded program.  At first she didn't want to admit she needed the help.  But the volunteers who delivered the meal were so kind and the coordinator helped her understand the benefits.

Now, she's approaching her 100^th birthday, is happy and healthy.  She shares with everyone that it's probably the good meals she receives every day of the week for three years that have contributed to her continued good health.

Thank you for volunteering for community programs and giving to United Way.  Your generosity made it possible for mom and many others to receive help every day.
