Underneath everything we are, underneath everything we do, we are all people.  Connected. Interdependent. United.  And when we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all. That’s what it means to LIVE UNITED. 

LIVE UNITED is an experience.  It’s a promise.  It’s a call to action.  Every day, residents answer that call to advance the common good in their own way.  Read a few of their stories, and submit one of your own.

Kim Mueller LIVES UNITED!!

My volunteer work started when I took the Leadership Marshfield Class in 2008. Our little group started Right 2 Play 4 All. We have since turned into a United Way Partner and helped over 200 kids in the Marshfield area participate in sports! Over the last few years we have heard many stories from the parents of the children we provided funds for. All have been inspiring, making the many hours my group and I have spent volunteering to get this much needed program off the ground very much worth it. I have since volunteered for some MACCI events as well as the Reality Store. I know first hand the importance of volunteering.

Jocelyn Anderson LIVES UNITED!! 

After being a effected by seeing a homeless man outside of a local business, Jocelyn decided she wanted to have a "blanket drive" at her school to help people less-fortunate stay warm at night. Jocelyn contacted United Way with her idea and asked where the items she planned on collecting would be most helpful in the community.

United Way contacted St. Vincent's de Paul's Outreach Center and it was decided that her donations will be used in the rooms of the transitional shelter once the building is ready for use.

Thank you, Jocelyn, for your caring and concern for others and for your leadership and dedication to making a positive impact on our community!
