Fill a Backpack, Fulfill a Dream

Marshfield Area Volunteer Center coordinates the "Fill a backpack, Fulfill a dream."  Traditional school supplies will be distributed in August to 4K through 8th grade students who qualify.

In 2009, 400 backpacks and supplies were collected and distributed to students in need from Auburndale, Marshfield, Neillsville, Pittsville, Spencer and Stratford.

Backpacks will be available for eligible families and classrooms August 2010.  Pick up dates/locations will be posted here in August.

Ways you can help:
  -  Donate a backpack, supplies or money.  (Supply list below). 
  -  Drop off supplies August 2 through August 13 these collection sites:

    Marshfield Savings Bank - Marshfield locations
    Pioneer Bank - Marshfield locations
    Associated Bank - Downtown Marshfield

• a plain backpack
• crayons (24)
• magic markers (washable)
• 12" ruler (centimeters/inches)
• 2 packs loose-leaf paper (white/wide-ruled)
• crayon box or zippered fabric pencil pouch
• 2 red pens/pencils
• 2 large erasers
• 1 pack colored pencils
• 1 large box kleenex
• 4 pocket folders
• 1 Fiskars scissors
• 4 wide-ruled spiral notebooks (no perforated tear-out pages)
• 10-12 #2 pencils (no Eversharps)
• 1 Highlighter (yellow)

NO TRAPPER KEEPERS, BINDERS OR GLUE BOTTLES
