Marshfield Area United Way 2007 Drive Chairs

Leading the campaign are John Baur and Kathy Rhyner from Associated Bank. They say they are excited about being drive chairs because they want to continue the good work previous drive chairs and United Way have done for the Marshfield area. “Being a drive chair is something I’ve always thought about doing.  I believe in United Way because of the many programs and services it provides to the community,” Baur said.

Baur, raised in Mosinee, is Vice President for Business Banking.  He is an active member of the Marshfield community.  Baur currently serves as a United Way board member and is a past New Visions Art Gallery President.  He’s also a member of Rotary and is MACCI’s Small Business Council Chair.  Baur is married to Karmen Gorman and has a stepson Grant Bornbach and a son Ben.

Rhyner was born and raised in Marshfield and is Community Bank President of Associated Bank.  She is a MACCI Ambassador, Rotarian, Saint Joseph's Hospital board member and Marshield Medical Research Foundation Trustee.  She and husband Bill will celebrate their 36th anniversary this year.  They have two children, Max and Amanda, and one granddaughter, Rhiannon.

“In my first job at St. Joe’s, I remember the United Way drive.  I signed up for payroll deduction of 50 cents each payday.  And now, John and I can share the United Way story with others.  I’ve learned that United Way makes our community a better place through each of our contributions,” Rhyner said.

“United Way programs are vitally important for the success of the community, residents and businesses.  It’s important to me to share the United Way mission and let people know how it can make a difference in their life, as well as their community,” Baur said.
