Marshfield Area United Way The mission of the Marshfield Area United Way is to improve our community's capacity to care for one another.

Vision Councils

There are three Vision Councils: Families & Seniors, Community & Basic Needs, and Youth Initiatives. They report to the Community Impact Committee in an advisory capacity. The Community Impact Committee reports to the United Way Board of Directors.

Vision Councils serve as a constant community assessment tool for United Way, the community, and other funding organizations. Their goal is to prioritize the human service needs of the community.

Members of Vision Councils represent various segments of the community, other funding organizations, foundations, human service agencies outside of United Way funding, social services, government agencies, health services, school districts, law enforcement, and other members at large.

Vision Councils review and assess existing community programs, funding sources and unmet needs. These needs will be prioritized and this information given to the Community Impact Committee and Community Impact Review Committees to use during the community funding process. This information is shared with other funding organizations in the community.
