Campaign 2021

UNITED WAY MARKS 75 YEARS IN MARSHFIELD COMMUNITY, BEGINS ANNUAL FUNDRASING CAMPAIGN

MARSHFIELD, September 1, 2021 — Marshfield Area United Way’s annual fundraising campaign is officially underway. This year also marks the75th anniversary of United Way in the community. While there is much to celebrate from the past 75 years, United Way continues its mission to increase our community’s capacity to care for one another. Helping to lead that effort are Dan and Shauna Dargenio who are taking the lead as Campaign Drive Chairs for the second year.

“We felt that there was some great momentum at the end of last year, payroll giving was up, participation was up, and overall energy was up but with COVID hindering meetings, events, etc. we felt like we could have done more.  So, when Ashley asked if we wanted to be Drive Chairs for another year, we were ready and excited for the challenge,” stated Dan and Shauna Dargenio.

“I still believe the average citizen is unaware of how many programs are funded by United Way. From mothers, elderly, kids, homeless, people suffering from addiction, the list goes on and on.  United Way literally touches every part of our community,” said Dan Dargenio about what he has learned about United Way over the course of the last two years.

Funds raised during this year’s campaign will be distributed in 2022 to United Way partner programs and initiatives right here in the Marshfield area. Every dollar given to Marshfield Area United Way makes a local impact helping provide resources to the community, such as:  counseling for children, food and clothing, homelessness prevention, advocacy and support for victims of abuse, mentorship for our youth, and much more.

“Dan and I are asking you to look inside your heart, and if you are able, help your neighbors, friends and co-workers through your gift to Marshfield Area United Way,” said Shauna Dargenio.

“Marshfield has progressed immensely over the past few years and there seems to be a rejuvenation happening all around us.  We are so happy to help in the positivity of this community and look forward to supporting United Way this year, and for many years to come.” added Dan Dargenio.
