The story of Marshfield Area United Way has never been about our organization. It is the story of a community that comes together when challenges arise, a community that always steps up to help their neighbors. It is the story of lives changed through the kindness of others.
In 1946, 45 Marshfield citizens came together with a shared purpose: to identify community needs and support local health and human service programs that improve lives. Eighty years later, our organization and generations of friends and neighbors are still committed to this legacy, strengthening United Way’s role as the central, trusted nonprofit organization serving Marshfield and the surrounding communities.
Over the years, our community has changed and so have the challenges facing local families. Population shifts, economic uncertainties, rising service demands, and workforce pressures continue to evolve and change. Through it all, United Way has remained a steady force for good—bringing people together, activating resources, and driving solutions that strengthen lives, recognizing that the timing of support can make all the difference for someone facing hardship.
The support we provide and progress we make is possible because of people like you who believe in the power of a community coming together to care for one another. As we look toward the next 80 years, know that your support matters more than ever. The impact of your generosity will reach far beyond a single program or moment – when you donate to United Way, you know our local reach is broad and we will maximize the impact of every dollar as we work to build a stronger, healthier, and more connected community for all.
