Make A Difference Day is Back!
Marshfield Area United Way is recruiting volunteers to participate in Make a Difference Day, Saturday, October 24, from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm. On this morning, participants will be raking leaves for seniors and neighbors in need of a helping hand with their yards.
Volunteers are asked to register in advance so United Way can estimate how many lawns can be raked during the event. Volunteers will be provided with a hot breakfast and a t-shirt for participating. United Way asks that volunteers bring their own rakes and have their own transportation.
Residents in need of assistance with their lawns should call United Way prior to October 16th to see if they qualify for assistance. Please note anyone receiving help on this day must be home on the morning of October 24 and are responsible for providing enough leaf bags to bag all leaves raked by the volunteers.
